Silverman Thompson Partner Bill Sinclair to Speak at American University Law Concussion Panel

The American University Sports and Entertainment Law Society will be hosting a sports law symposium on October 20 at American University’s Law School and they have asked Silverman Thompson partner Bill Sinclair to participate in a panel discussion, titled “Invisible Injuries,” regarding concussions in sports. Mr. Sinclair is currently co-lead plaintiffs’ counsel in the NHL concussion matter. Other panelists are Mikaela Whitman, a partner at Pasich, LLP, and Dr. Mark Hyman, a professor at the George Washington University, where he serves as Sports Ethics Fellow. Professor Jeremi Duru of the American University Washington College of Law will moderate the panel, which is expected to address the effect that sports injuries, and in particular concussions, have had on current and future professional athletes.
